ISO 8752 Slotted Spring Pin Heavy Duty

ISO 8752 Slotted Spring Pins Heavy Duty, are rolled single turn pins with a lengthwise slot. Headless and hollow, their outside diameter is slightly larger than the recommended hole size so they will compress as they are installed. Both ends are chamfered on pins with diameters less than 10 mm while only one end may be chamfered on pins 10 mm and larger in diameter. The recommended maximum pin/shaft ratio is 1:3 so the pin will fail before the shaft. Using continuous pressure, parts are held in position even in holes of wider tolerance than dowel pins will accommodate. These low-cost fasteners are available in plain finish steel, which is susceptible to rust, and stainless steel. Measure length from end to end. ISO 8752 Slotted Spring Pins are the same as DIN 1481.
