ISO 13337 Slotted Spring Pin Light Duty

ISO 13337 Slotted Spring Pins Light Duty, are single turn rolled pins, hollow and headless, with a longitudinal slot and a diameter slightly larger than their recommended hole size. Pins less than 10 mm in diameter are chamfered at both ends; pins with a diameter of 10 mm and larger may be chamfered at one end only. A low-cost alternative to other fasteners, they are compressed during installation in a cast, drilled or punch hole and hold parts in position using continuous pressure, which allows for wider hole tolerances compared to dowel pins. When used with a shaft, the pin's diameter should be no more than 33.3% of the shaft diameter to ensure the pin fails before the shaft. Supplied as plain finish steel, there is no protective finish to resist rust. Length is measured from end to end. ISO 13337 Slotted Spring Pins are similar to DIN 7346.
