DIN 966 A Phillips / Pozi Oval Head Machine Screw

DIN 966 A Phillips / Pozi Oval Head Machine Screws, available as Phillips and Pozi drive, have a rounded top and a cone-shaped bearing surface making them a countersunk style screw. The head angle is 90°, which is 8° greater than 82° inch series screws. Their rounded top will extend slightly above the mating surface when seated in a countersunk recess and may be considered a design element. The external machine screw threads mate with tapped holes and nuts; the "A" suffix denotes they are fully threaded. Select from Class 4.8 steel, zinc plated, and stainless steel. Stainless steel thread tolerance is 6g and plated steel is 6h; right-hand threads are standard. Oval head screw length is measured from the largest diameter point of the head—where the rounded top meets the conical bearing surface—to the tip. Pozi is a POZIDRIV® alternative. DIN 966 A Oval Head Machine Screws are similar to ISO 7047, JIS B1111 and ANSI B18.6.7M.
