DIN 916 Hex Socket Set Screw Cup Point

DIN 916 Hex Socket Set Screws Cup Point is the most widely used set screw for permanent and semi-permanent applications where high tightening torque is not practical. The cup-shaped recess has a sharp perimeter that prevents slippage by digging into the surface of soft materials and hardened shafts. A hex key or hex bit is used to drive these headless externally machine screw threaded fasteners; except for six sizes—M1.6, M2, M2.5, M14, M18 and M22—hex key size is half the screw size. Available in Class 45H steel, plain finish, and stainless steel. Thread tolerance is 5g6g for steel and stainless steel is 6g; right-hand threads are standard. These set screws are designed for compression applications and are not recommended for tensile loads. Include the point in length measurements so measure from end to end. DIN 916 Hex Socket Set Screws Cup Point is the same as ISO 4029.
