DIN 915 Hex Socket Set Screw Dog Point

DIN 915 Hex Socket Set Screws Dog Point are known for their cylinder-shaped point, the diameter of which ranges from roughly 62.5% to 75% of the nominal screw diameter. They can press against a ground flat or, as a replacement for a dowel pin, mate with a shaft hole for permanent or fixed component location. These external machine screw threaded headless screws are suitable for use with hollow tubing and hardened members. A hex key or hex bit is used for driving; hex size is half the screw size except for sizes M1.6, M2, M2.5, M14, M18 and M22. Select from Class 45H plain finish steel and stainless steel. Steel thread tolerance is 5g6g and stainless steel is 6g; right-hand threads are standard. Tensile loading is not recommended so use in compression only. Point length is based on screw diameter and length but does not uniformly increase as screw length increases. For example, point length for M6 x 8 mm and below is 1.50-1.75 mm but is 3.00-3.25 mm for M6 screw lengths 10 mm and above. Length includes the point so measure from end to end. DIN 915 Hex Socket Set Screws Dog Point are the same as ISO 4028.
