DIN 7984 Low Head Socket Cap Screws

DIN 7984 Low Head Socket Cap Screw

DIN 7984 Low Head Socket Cap Screws have a reduced height cylinder-shaped hex socket head that allows for extra clearance but the geometry of the head reduces loadability per ISO 898-1. Hex keys and hex bits are used to drive these internally wrenched screws. Choose from Class 8.8 and 10.9 steel, zinc plated and plain finish (which lacks a rust protective coating), and stainless steel. The external machine screw threads have a 6g tolerance; right-hand threads are standard. NOTE: Class 10.9 (and above) is not designed for high-strength applications but does offer enhanced wear resistance of the hex socket recess. Length is measured from under the head to the tip. Consider using DIN 912 when the full strength of a socket head cap screw is required.
