DIN 7500 M Pozi / 6 Lobe Flat Head Thread Rolling Screw

DIN 7500 M Pozi / 6 Lobe Flat Head Thread Rolling Screws are trilobular thread rolling (forming) screws with a flat countersunk head and machine screw threads. Chips are not created—like thread cutting screws—as they form and work harden the material when they are threaded into the drilled or punched pilot hole. Low drive torque is required and they resist loosening caused by vibratory forces due to superior prevailing torque. Pozi drive screws have a DIN 965 flat head and 6 Lobe (hexalobular socket) screws have an ISO 14581 head; the nominal head angle for both is 90° (inch series screws are 82°). 6 Lobe screws are similar to DIN 7500 M (denoted as ~DIN 7500 M). Zinc plated steel and stainless steel screws are available. Right-hand threads are standard. Measure length from the top of the head to the tip. Pozi is a POZIDRIV® alternative. 6 Lobe, also referred to as Star drive, is a TORX® alternative.
