DIN 6799 External E-Type Circlip

DIN 6799 External E-Type Circlips are retaining rings that resemble the letter "E" and are said to be the most widely used radial retaining ring. Installed at a right angle to the shaft (radially) using a retaining ring applicator due to an absence of lug holes, they snap into a machined groove in the shaft. Prongs contact the groove bottom at three points allowing them to form a large protruding removable shoulder that effectively retains components. They are usually more economical than axially installed retaining rings but can only accommodate low thrust loads because of minimal contact with the shaft's circumference. Size is specified as groove diameter rather than shaft diameter like axially installed rings. Measure circlips using a pin gauge that contacts all three prongs. Available in plain finish and zinc plated spring steel and stainless steel.

Even after filtering there may be several pages of items. The number of pages will be displayed to the left of the Add All Selected Items button. Click on a page number or the arrows to page forward and back.
