DIN 603 Carriage Bolt

DIN 603 Carriage Bolts are round head bolts with external machine screw threads and an underhead square neck that helps prevent bolt rotation as the nut is tightened. The head is sometimes referred to as a mushroom head because of its low height rounded top and flat bearing surface. Secured with a nut, carriage bolts commonly fasten wood to wood, wood to metal and metal to metal. Since the head isn't externally wrenched, the bolt can be installed in a flat bottom counterbored recess, which allows the top of the head to be flush with the mating surface. Available in steel, Class 4.6 and 8.8, and stainless steel. Steel bolts are zinc plated or supplied with a plain finish (unplated and susceptible to rust). Thread tolerance for plain finish steel and stainless steel is 6g and 6h for plated steel; right-hand threads are standard. Minimum threaded length is based on bolt diameter and bolt length. Bolt length is measured from under the head to the tip and includes the square neck. DIN 603 Carriage Bolts are similar to ISO 8677, ISO 8678 and ASME B18.5.2.1M.

  • To deselect a single filter option, click in the Select box and click on the selected option. It will appear at the top of the list in bold. To clear all filter selections, click on the Clear Filters button.

Even after filtering there may be several pages of items. The number of pages will be displayed to the left of the Add All Selected Items button. Click on a page number or the arrows to page forward and back.
