DIN 137 A Curved Spring Washers

DIN 137 A Curved Spring Washer

DIN 137 A Curved Spring Washers are bowed thin metal washers with a spring rate that is roughly linear between 10% and 80% of their available deflection. Designed for light thrust loads, they provide the most deflection with the least compressive force when compared to other spring washers. As they are loaded (compressed), their outside diameter (OD) will increase and their inside diameter (ID) will decrease so plan for the dimensional changes. They provide an axial preload between two surfaces, whether static or rotating, such as reducing shaft end play. Spring steel, zinc plated and plain finish (which lacks rust protection), stainless steel and spring bronze are available. Size relates to nominal hole size and should be matched to screw size; for example, an M8 washer is used with an M8 screw. DIN 137 B is recommended for new designs.

  • Click in a Select box to view the options. It may be necessary to scroll to see the entire list. The number of matching items is displayed in parentheses ( ).
  • Click on the desired item and -- Select -- will change to 1 Selected. You can select more than one item in each Select box. For example, you can select two sizes and 1 Selected will change to 2 Selected.
