Thumb Screws without Shoulder Type B, Zinc Plated
Also known as:
Spade Head Screws
Thumb Screws, like Wing Nuts, are designed to be tightened and loosened with finger pressure and are typically used where frequent adjustment or disassembly is required. They are fully threaded. Type A has a shoulder and is also known as Type S; Type B does not have a shoulder and is also referred to as Type P. The length of Type B (without shoulder) is measured from under the head to the tip. Type A (with shoulder) is measured from under the shoulder to the tip. The shoulder adds a bearing surface, which allows Type A Thumb Screws to be tightened against the mating surface.
