— BOLTS —
Anchor Bolts
Anchor Bolts are designed for structural anchoring applications. For a right-angle hook, select "L" style; "J" style has a circular hook. For outdoor use, choose hot-dipped galvanized due to superior corrosion properties. A nut and washer are included where noted.
Carriage Bolts
Also Called: Carriage Screws
Carriage Bolts are used for fastening wood to wood and wood to metal. To prevent turning, the bolt has a square neck design. Measure length from under the dome head to the tip.
Draw Bolt Joint Assembly
Also Called: Joint Draw Assembly, Counter Top Draw Bolts
These assemblies include a hex head bolt, a threaded plate and a sliding plate that is unthreaded. No special tools are needed, making them fast and easy to use. Ideal for joining countertops. Perfect miter and butt joints can be made with superior holding power by using Draw Bolt Joint Assemblies. Measure length from under the head to the tip.
Elevator Bolts
Also Called: Belt Bolts
Elevator Bolts are used whenever a flat head is needed and head clearance is critical. These bolts have the largest head diameter of all the flush head styles. They have a square neck that prevents spinning. Measure length from the top of the head.
Machine Bolts
Also Called: Square Head Bolts, Hex Head Bolts, Cap Screws
Square Head Machine Bolts are easily gripped by a hand wrench due to the large bearing area design. Hex Head Machine Bolts are sometimes called cap screws, but Machine Bolts tend to be larger--up to 1-1/2" in diameter or more, and up to 20" in length. The length of machine bolts is measured from under the head to the tip.
Plow Bolts
The diameter of Plow Bolts and the width of their square neck are equal. The square neck design prevents the bolt from turning. Length is measured from the top of the head to the tip.
Step Bolts
Step Bolts resemble carriage bolts but have a larger diameter head. The square neck prevents the bolt from turning. Measure length from under the head to the tip.
Stove Bolts
Also Called: Machine Screws
Stove Bolts are machine screws that are supplied with a matching machine screw hex nut. Available in Slotted Round and Slotted Flat head versions, the most common sizes are 1/8 (which is a 6-32 machine screw), 5/32 (8-32 machine screw), 3/16 (10-24 machine screw), 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16 and 1/2-13. Measure the length of Round Head Stove Bolts from under the head to the tip. For Flat heads, length includes head height.
Structural Bolts
Structural Bolts are used for structural steel joints and conform to ASTM A325 specifications. Nuts are included where noted. Measure length from under the head to the tip.
Timber Bolts
Ideal for those exterior structural jobs, Timber Bolts are often used in marine and related applications in place of hex head bolts and washers. The head is low profile, and wings prevent the bolt from turning. A hot-dipped galvanizing process adds superior weather resistance. Use oversized tapped nuts. Measure length from under the head.
