Sheet Metal Screws are used in situations where the material is too thin to tap--like sheet metal--and you don't have rear access to install a nut, but you may need to unfasten the materials later. They have spaced (coarse) threads, and are also used in wood. For Button, Hex, Hex Washer, Pan, Round and Truss heads, measure length from under the head. For Flat and Oval heads, length includes head height.
