DIN 963 A Slotted Flat Head Machine Screw

DIN 963 A Slotted Flat Head Machine Screws have a flat top and a cone-shaped bearing surface with a head angle of 90° (inch series screws have an 82° head angle). Referred to as flat countersunk, they are intended to mount in a countersunk recess so their head is flush with the mating surface. Their external machine screw threads allow usage with tapped holes and nuts; machine screws with the "A" suffix are fully threaded. Class 4.8 zinc plated and plain finish (unplated, no rust protection) steel, stainless steel, brass and nylon are available. Some Class 8.8 steel plated screws are also available. Plain finish steel and stainless steel have a thread tolerance of 6g and plated steel is 6h; right-hand threads are standard. The length of a flat head screw is overall length—measure from the top of the head to the tip. DIN 963 A Slotted Flat Head Machine Screws are similar to ISO 2009, JIS B1101 and ANSI B18.6.7M.
