C Clips, C Rings, External Crescent Retaining Rings, Shaft Rings
External C Retaining Rings are ideal in low-clearance situations especially where exposed lugs are neither required nor desirable. They are radially installed and snap into a machined groove in the shaft from the side. C Retaining Rings have a smaller profile than External E Retaining Rings. They are an economical alternative to axially assembled external retaining rings but the allowable thrust loading is lower. Ring size refers to shaft diameter, which is larger than the ring's free diameter. See ourC Retaining Ring Specificationsreference charts.
